About this work

Portrait of Leopold I, Emperor of Germany. He stands at the foot of two columns. He is crowned and wears a chain with the Order of the Golden Fleece. In his right hand he holds a sword and his left hand rests on an imperial orb. In the margin the coat of arms of the sitter and a three-line inscription in Latin.
