About this work

A young woman lets a number of flowers fall on the ground. The woman opposite her makes a warning gesture in response. In the background stand two figures with a bucket at a water well. This print is made for the story of Mother Holle from "Tales of Mother Goose - Contes du tems passé de ma mere l’oye" by Charles Perrault.
