About this work

Allegorical depiction with on podium a female figure representing the city of Rome. She receives the keys of the city offered by a putto. Left on podium objects referring to Catholicism and the pope, right Romulus and Remus and the wolf. In front of the podium three figures probably representing the Tiber.
