The four officers of the Crossbow (St. Sebastian) Guild in Amsterdam, 1653

The four officers of the Crossbow Guilds or St. Sebastian Guilds in Amsterdam, 1653. The officers are from left to right: Frans Banning Cocq, Jan van de Poll, Albert Dircksz Pater and Jan Willemsz Blaeu. The officers sit around a table in front of a cabinet in which trophy cups are displayed. They also hold in their hands a trophy goblet, the king's staff decorated with a bird and the guild chain with a medallion in the shape of a bird. The target woman brings the ceremonial silver drinking horn of the guild inside. On the left sits a dog, on the right in the background two shooters.
