About this work
On the river sail various boats including some rowing boats. In the foreground sails a pondo with a thatched roof with which barrels are transported. Behind it a Curaçaoan schooner with the Dutch flag. On the quay buildings such as the Waag with a red roof. Below the image, at the height of their place on the quay, street names are shown.
