About this work

Sheet with two depictions of religious customs in India. Top: A sick person is brought on a litter before the image of the Indian god Ixora. Bottom: A sick person is held with his face behind a cow so that the cow urinates in his face. In the background, a corpse is bathed in the Ganges.
