About this work

Allegorical representation with Pope Innocent X in the center under a baldachin. Before him kneels a weeping female personification holding a heart-shaped coat of arms in her hands. Behind her a dog with a torch, playing with an imperial orb. Surrounding them are watching cardinals. To the left in the foreground a putto with broken weapons. Above the baldachin various putti with flags and medallions with biblical scenes, including the Lamb of God, the Ark of Noah, Madonna and King David.
