In this street the furriers were active and they are depicted on the bank of the Seine at their work. Meryon inspired himself on a seventeenth-century example. On the left stands still a small piece of the Pont-au-Change with buildings on the print and also the towers of the Notre-Dame are just visible. These details are an addition by the artist.
