About this work
Naked bodies of fallen soldiers are loaded onto a horse-drawn wagon and removed in front of a church. An officer gives instructions. Depiction from the time of the British-Russian invasion in 1799. Possibly situated at the Ruïnekerk after the Battle of Bergen on 19 September 1799. See also pendant.
