About this work
Three women and three men dance hand in hand in a large circle in a hall. Behind them stand three knights with torches, including Freydal. From a balcony, a princess looks on. This print is part of a series of illustrations for the story 'Freydal', about the eponymous knight, intended as a glorification of the deeds of Emperor Maximilian I.
