About this work
Design for a double goblet; the lid can in this case be seen as a second goblet. Between goblet and lid runs a dividing line where the text AVF stands and at the top is the inscription HIE OBEN MAGST AUCH/ EIN FVVS MACHEN. From these instructions it appears that by adding a foot to the stem of the lid it acquires the function of a goblet.
