About this work

A procession of colorful, caricatured figures carries a baldachin announcing a humorous parade on September 29, 1912, which was organized annually by the Brussels Chamber of Commerce. In the center, the personification of trade with a banner bearing the caduceus, attribute of Mercury as god of trade. In the margin, the names of the mayor and the college.
