About this work

Theme from the Revelation (Apocalypse) of John the Evangelist. John kneels and sees in a vision God on a throne in heaven, in his hand he holds a book and next to him stands a lamb with seven horns and seven eyes. In front of the throne stand seven burning torches. He is surrounded by the four symbols of the evangelists, the ox, eagle, lion and angel. Around them throne twenty-four elders with censers and golden crowns, these elders are not all depicted on the print.
