About this work

Portrait of the Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand II. Around his neck he wears a chain with the insignia of the Order of the Golden Fleece. The portrait is framed by garlands with fruit. At the top, the German eagle holding the emperor's coat of arms in its beak. Below the portrait, a cartouche with his name and titles in Latin.
