English lady of standing, in a gown with high waist, low straight neckline, wide half-length sleeves and foot-long slightly trailing skirt. The hair is combed tightly back, except for a border of frizzled hair around the face, which forms a fringe on the forehead and hangs from the side to the shoulders. A bow in the hair on the left. Around the neck a pearl necklace with a drop pearl pendant. Around the décolleté a flat collar over which a long pearl necklace with jewel is attached in the center on the bodice. The wide sleeves are gathered around the elbow and the sleeves of the shirt are visible underneath. Two bows on the raised waist. In the right hand a folding fan and with the left hand the skirt is lifted. No. 4 from the series Ornatus Muliebris Anglicanus.
