About this work

View of the Bloemmarkt and Pijpemarkt in Amsterdam. Plants and small trees are being brought by water on small boats. On the quay the plants are displayed in flower pots or with root balls. Customers carry their purchased small trees away; a woman pushes a wheelbarrow full of plants home. In the background the town hall on the Dam. At the bottom an explanation of the print in French and Dutch.
