About this work
Satirical print on the leadership role of German Emperor Wilhelm II in building a new Europe. Wilhelm, as the archangel Michael, calls the other European countries to follow him in rebuilding the ruins of Europe. In the sky, a statue of Buddha and Chinese dragons as symbols of the alleged Asian threat from the East. Appeared in the supplement to 'De Kroniek' of 24 November 1895.
