About this work
In a round frame the Golden Age of Saturn. On the bank of a stream some naked people enjoy grapes that the generous nature offers them. The print refers to the mythologically inspired idea that man initially lived in an era of perpetual spring. War or injustice were absent. During the Golden Age everyone lived in bliss, in a world where one could enjoy the fertile nature without working. The print is part of a series on the four ages.
