About this work

During the severe storm, Jonah is thrown overboard by the fishermen. He is swallowed by a whale. The print has a Latin inscription and is part of a series based on the biblical text Matt. 12:40: 'For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth'.
