About this work

On the bank of a river a group sits on the ground. A woman kneels in an attitude of adoration before a mother with child. Next to her another woman lifts her veil and looks at a putto with a lamb. Two other putti carry a basket of flowers above their heads. Two shepherds with sheep stand behind the women. On the other side of the river two women do the washing. In the background a city with bridge, towers and a pyramid.
