About this work

Commemorative plaque for the national celebration of fifty years of Dutch independence 1813-1863, in November 1863. In the center, the arrival of King William I in Amsterdam for the inauguration in 1813. At the bottom, the camp of the Cossacks at the Muiderpoort in Amsterdam, on the left the meeting of the triumvirate, on the right the landing of William I in Scheveningen. Further, several smaller scenes, garlands, weapons, and portraits.
