About this work
Two representations of lottery mottos, each with its own number. Above no. 821: a representation in a round frame of Fortune, a woman in a jester's costume. She holds a chameleon in one hand and a windvane in the other, symbolizing her capriciousness. Coins fall from her cloak, which are picked up by bystanders. Below no. 829: a representation in an octagonal frame of a woman and a man in a boat. The woman has fallen backwards. The print has a page number at the top right.
