About this work
The personification of the virtue Concordia: an interior with a Christian family at the meal. The father holds a loaf of bread, the mother a bowl. The three oldest children stand at the table. The boy has his hands folded in prayer. In front of the fireplace, a small child sits in a high chair. In the foreground, a begging dog and a cat. On a cabinet against the back wall of the room stand the tables of the law with Bible quotations in Latin from Deut. 6 and Mat. 22. In the margin, a six-line Bible quotation from Prov. 15-17 and a motto in Latin. Pendant of a print with the bad household.
