Lady and child, walking along a fence. The lady wears a hood and with her left hand holds up her skirt. She looks over her left shoulder. The girl wears a long dress; her hair is divided in pigtails. In the background a carriage in front of a palace. Number four from the series Figures à la mode, a series of twelve costume prints showing contemporary men's and women's fashion.
