About this work
Loving couple in elegant clothing (ca. 1620) in a room, sitting before a smoking fireplace, with a cat. The man has his right arm around the shoulders of the lady and touches one of her breasts with his left hand. He is dressed in breeches with bows, shoes with bows, loose mantle over his doublet with lace millstone collar. The lady has a gown with décolleté and large standing lace collar. On the ground a hat with plume. To the right back the bed is being made by a servant. M.O. numbered 5 (from series five senses) With 4 lines of caption: Quator his Tactus...ea tangere noli.
