About this work
In a hall with a view of the sea a wedding takes place. The guests are elegantly dressed. Right sit in a box the musicians. Three couples dance. The remaining guests sit along the side walls of the room. With inscriptions in Latin and French, including a reference to the Epigrams of Martialis.
