View of the Dam with the town hall, the New Church, the Waag and the Damrak, with the firing by the civic guard in the rows of the pressing spectators on the Dam, 28 June 1748. At the Waag hang the bodies of the executed man and woman (Piet van Dort and the lemon and dried herring seller Mat van den Nieuwendijk) for their role in the Tax Farmers' Riot. Without the caption.
