About this work
Allegorical tomb monument for Willem George Frederik, Prince of Orange-Nassau, died in Padua, 6 January 1799. The Dutch Maiden lays a wreath around the urn on the monument in a forest. Left a portrait of the prince. On the ground in front of the monument lie a helmet, broken shield and spear and a book with torn pages. Belonging to the print is a text sheet.
