About this work
The Alliance Festival on the Dam in front of the Town Hall in Amsterdam, celebrating the alliance concluded between the French and Batavian Republics on 19 June 1795. Chaotic festive crowd, with the tree of liberty in the center. Trial proof before the inscription and the three oval medallions with allegorical representations that hung on the facade of the town hall.
