About this work

Solemn transfer of the flags to the drill society Tot Nut der Schuttery, on the drill ground near the Buitensingel outside the Leidsepoort in Amsterdam on 13 May 1786. Each of the two flags handed over by two ladies, donors, to the standard-bearers of the civic guard. In the background, the assembled guards. In the margin, the medal of the drill society.
