Title page for the Orangist work: Catechism of the Stadtholdership, 1786. In front of a temple with seven pillars in the radiant sunlight stands Prince Willem V. As protector of the State Building of the Dutch Commonwealth, the hereditary stadtholdership in the person of the stadtholder defends the country against the attacks of Envy, Deceit, Violence, and Ambition. In the temple reside Liberty and Religion. In the inscription, a seven-line verse.
