About this work
Interior with a woman sitting before a fireplace with two children next to her, a man stands behind her and smokes a pipe. The interior is rich in details, on the mantel hang all kinds of objects including a depiction of Susanna and the Elders. To the left back a large bedstead is depicted. On the beams of the roof hams are drying and on the ground lie vegetables which are being nibbled by rabbits and mice.
