About this work
A Ladder of Age: a woman's ladder. On the steps of the ladder, in the form of a bridge, stand women aged from 0 to 100 years. Below the bridge is a representation of the Last Judgment. To the front left, a putto with an hourglass; to the front right, Death as a skeleton. On either side of the scene, a tree. In the center below, a cartouche with the title.
