About this work

Bacchus as god of wine accompanied by a small god with goat legs and grapevines. The inscription PAMPINEAS VIMIS DOCVIT QVI ADIVMGERE VITES attributes to Bacchus a role in the growth of the grapevine, he would have taught the vines to cling to branches (twigs).
