From the collection of Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. Free to download, adapt and use — no permission needed.
Print album with 132 prints on 132 sheets. The album contains city views of Paris, views of castles in France, and landscapes with buildings in Rome. All are by the hand of Gabriel, Nicolas and/or Adam Perelle, either from their own designs or after drawings by Israël Silvestre. The publisher is N. Langlois, which could refer to either father and son Nicolas Langlois (I) and (II). Many prints have a legend or a caption with a few lines of background information. Famous castles are depicted from various viewpoints, as is the Palace of Versailles of the reigning king Louis XIV. There is also much attention to garden architecture with fountains, grottoes, and parterres. The album ends with views of buildings and ruins in Rome. The binding of this album is of a later date.
