View of Luanda (São Paulo de Luanda) in Angola (right half), ca. 1641. Right plate of a large representation printed on two plates. The city conquered by a Dutch fleet of the WIC under command of Cornelis Cornelisz Jol, alias Houtebeen on 24 August 1641. Off the coast various Dutch ships. In the sky a winged banner with the title decorated with two smoke horns, flags and a laurel wreath. In the inscription the explanation of the letters G-M in Latin.
