About this work

At a spring the personification of Temperance (Sobietas) fills a bowl with water and looks down on the personification of Gluttony (Laemargiam) lying at her feet with a wine jug in her arms on the ground vomiting. The print has a Latin inscription and is part of a series about virtues and vices.
