About this work

To the left and right at the bottom stand two putti each, acting as caryatids supporting the mantle. One of 20 sheets from a series (Architectura. Von Ausztheilung, Symmetria und Proportion der fünff Seulen...) consisting of 193 sheets and 5 title pages, divided into five books. This is a second, expanded edition of the series described under Orn Cat I-319.
