About this work

Christ sits in the temple among the scribes and explains the scripture to them. He makes a speaking gesture. The other men search for something in their books. Joseph and Mary walk into the temple and find their twelve-year-old son among the scholars. The representation is enclosed in an oval frame with a border inscription in Latin. Print from a series of twelve on the life, passion and resurrection of Christ.
