About this work
Two women and a boy on New Year's Day on their way to a temple. One woman holds a bamboo pole with wrapped gifts hanging from it, the boy carries the other end of the pole on his shoulder. From the poem it can be deduced that they are on their way to the Tenmangu temple at Kameido, in Edo. With three poems.
