About this work

First part of a collected atlas with views and maps of various cities and regions in France. Factitious album, that is: an album compiled by a patron, collector, or owner of the prints. Leather marbled binding stamped with gold leaf. On the front and back boards a representation of Hercules holding the celestial globe in an ornamental frame.
