About this work
A high-ranking courtesan holding onto a kimono rack, while the two geese under her feet carry her through the air. The immortal Ôkyô was of princely descent, but left his family to become a monk on a mountain. His family was only allowed to visit him on the seventh day of the seventh month. When his family arrived at the mountain, they saw him flying away on a white crane. This series parodies immortal men (sennin) by depicting them as courtesans.
