About this work

The actor Ichikawa Danjûrô VII (1791-1859) in the role of Minamoto no Yorimasa. This print is the left panel of a triptych. With one poem: 'Even if one compares it with seeing Mount Fuji in the first dream of the new year, there is nothing to compare with the spring in grand Edo.'
