About this work

A metal water kettle with a piece of woven material. Kasumigaseki, mentioned in the title, was a district in Edo (present-day Tokyo) known for the many daimyô residences and houses of the higher samurai. The objects depicted on this print probably refer to the wealthy inhabitants of Kasumigaseki. With one poem.
