About this work

Five cranes on the beach at the water's edge; a part of their wings is indicated in blind printing. This print is the first state in which the first poem ends with 'the first fine weather' (hatsu hiyori), this was later corrected in subsequent editions to 'from the first day of the year' (hatsuhi yori). With one poem.
