Drinking bout of Britons and Irish celebrating the Act of Union

On the left the throne of Prince George IV of England with above it 'The Union' and the personifications of England and of Ireland, Éire, kissing. The prince himself lies under the table. In the left foreground sits Charles James Fox sleeping with his feet up. On the table sits the Duke of Moira, Francis Rawdon Hastings, shaking hands with William Henry Fortescue, Duke of Clermont. Next to Thomas Pitt Camelford, seen from the back, two servants hold a tub with Irish whisky punch. On the clock at the top it says: 'W. Pitt 1801'. On the snuffbox it says 'Belendenus'. William Petty, Marquess of Lansdowne, uses a rosary to get the tobacco into his pipe. The men who are not fighting or toasting are sleeping off their hangover. Text in English in the lower margin.
