About this work
At Elijah's instruction, the Israelites take the followers of Baal prisoner. To the front right, Elijah predicts the saving rain to King Ahab after a long period of drought. In the background, Elijah and Ahab stand on Mount Carmel, the prisoners are executed, and water flows again through the riverbed.
