About this work
An accuser (Litigiosus) walks up the steps of a courthouse, followed by three female personifications carrying bags with Patience (Patientia), Impudence (Impudentia), and Money (Pecunia). At the top, two judges. The print has three inscriptions (two in Latin and one in Dutch) and is part of an eight-part series on abuses in legal proceedings.
