About this work
The stories of the unbreakable bundle of arrows (a metaphor from Scylurus, king of the Scythians, described by Plutarch) and the pulling out of a horse's tail (a saying by Quintus Sertorius, general of the Roman army, described by Plutarch) are emblems emphasizing the bundling of strength, (strategic) perseverance, and concordance.
