About this work

Portrait of Archduke Joseph of Austria in his youth, later known as Emperor Joseph II, in a rocaille frame. On the left, a woman holds a scepter, the imperial orb, and the Holy Crown of Hungary. On the right, Father Time with the Ouroboros snake. In the foreground, two women personify Prosperity and Justice beside a globe.
